Membership runs on a rhythm of notices, meetings and subscriptions, and much of it is easier to hold in one place than in the memory. The application gives each member that place, on their own handset, between one meeting and the next.

Item twoWhat this notice covers

These items concern the application on a phone or tablet. The register of members that the organisation keeps under company law, and correspondence the secretary handles by email, are described in the member privacy notice on the main site.

Item threeWhere a member’s entries sit

Whatever a member types into Careabout Membership is committed to the private store that Android keeps for the application on that particular device, and it is from that store the application reads when the member opens it next.

Item fourComponents shipped in the package

The application reaches members through Google Play and carries Google Play Services, the component Android depends upon when it installs an application, when it brings a later version down to a device, and when it checks that the running copy answers to the published one.

Its lettering comes from Google Fonts, whose font files ship inside the application package and are read straight out of that package whenever a screen is put together.

Item fiveWhat rests with the member

An entry belongs to the member who made it. It can be amended or struck out from the screen on which it appears, the settings screen holds a single action that clears the store in one movement, and uninstalling the application through the device settings carries its storage area off with it.

Anything arising out of these items goes to the secretary at secretary@careabout.online, who answers in writing so that both sides keep a record of it.
